OUR HUMBLE BEGINNINGS…

Daniel Dougherty Sr. and his wife Lynnda began SANDPIPER POOLS in the early 1980’s.  They were a young family raising five small children, beginning a business on a shoestring.  Dan Sr. brought to the new venture his previous career and education as a banker along with a substantial knowledge of the business world.  Lynnda was the heart and soul of the company, working long hours in the office and interacting with every client on a personal level.

As the business grew and so did the children some of them eventually became involved helping their parents and learning hands on about pool construction.  Even the grandparents would help out as needed; it was and is a true American family business.  With hard work, superior knowledge of the pool industry and a business model that promotes what’s best for the customer at all times, Dan and his family positioned SANDPIPER POOLS as the recognized custom swimming pool leader in all of San Diego County. 

OUR CONFIDENT PRESENT….

2007 brought a passing of the reins at SANDPIPER POOLS.  Dan Dougherty Jr. took over as President/Owner after working side by side with his father since high school, learning the business from the ground up.  This change allows Dan Sr. to stay involved, yet enjoy time away to pursue his many other interests.

SANDPIPER POOLS continues to serve its current and future customers as it always has served its past customers; with respect and attention to detail.  Dan Dougherty Jr. is committed to offer to the community the best product available at the best value possible, without compromise.

As the pool industry evolves, so does SANDPIPER POOLS.  We plan to stay ahead of the competition by constantly improving design capabilities, incorporating the latest technological advances in pool equipment and outdoor entertainment, but standing firm to our promise of using only the best materials and quality workmanship available.
